Super Detox Smoothie for Youthful Glowing Skin

 

‘’We are what we eat’’, this statement use to confuse me as there are tons of high quality creams, facial products which can actually do wonders for the skin. I never believed in how it could be that simple and easy to gain a perfect complexion without spending much money. However just by spending money on your diet by picking up the right food can actually give you 100 percent results.

Not only the overall complexion improves it also helps in improving body metabolism which ultimately results in gaining the right weight and loosing unnecessary fat which  results in cellulite formation and increases level of fat. These smoothies have excellent medical as well as cosmetic benefits. They help in removing body toxins and pollutants and purifies blood more effectively.  Reduces acne, scars, skin imperfections, balances skin collagen and many other benefits which medicines and beauty creams cannot give.

So I thought why not give it a try I cannot just go on and purchasing some Detox smoothie recipes which are packed, processed and available in powder form. Instead I choose to use fruits and vegetables. Here is the recipe for super Detox smoothie for youthful and glowing skin. That’s why doctors also advice to eat fruits for healthy and glowing skin.

Fresh Green Apples:

Green apples are rich in vitamin C they have multiple medical and cosmetic benefits. Not only green apple are considered prevention against skin allergies, colon cancer, stomach and mouth ulcers they make skin fairer and rejuvenated.

A research based on apple phytochemicals and their health benefits says all.

Spinach:

Also referred as super food as it’s is rich in Vitamin A, C, D, B-6, B-12, Iron, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Sodium.   Taking a cup of fresh spinach and use it in your Detox smoothie will increase its nutrition value.

As some of us grew up watching popeye cartoon where each time to increase his super powers the character eats spinach to defeat its enemy. This encourages to eat green leafy vegetables especially kids who watch popeye with greater interest. There is an amazing research work actually been done on “Why does Popeye eat spinach?” by Dr Mike Sutton.

Strawberries:

After Popeye the next cartoon character which encourages children to eat more and more fruits and vegetables is strawberry shortcake cartoon character. Well strawberries are rich in Vitamin C and they have a great taste too.  The reason to use these mostly is to enhance the flavour.

Oranges:

Oranges are quite rich in Vitamin C, A, B-6, Magnesium. Due to all these Vitamins which increases skin glow and helps in increasing collagen levels.

Lemon:

Lemon as compared to oranges is less rich in Vitamin C it has low level of Vitamin A and Magnesium. Lemon are pretty useful in cleansing inside body system especially stomach, digestive and lever. It helps in removing fats in arteries and veins.

Beet root:

I use beet root for its color as its natural red color looks really nice however its nutrition value is also good.  It’s rich in Potassium, Sodium, and iron, Vitamin C, B-12 and Magnesium.

Tomatoes:

Are rich in lycopene which are a great protection against UV-rays it helps in fighting cancer, skin disease. Best for heart diseases protection against heart strokes a researched based on Harved Medical School.

 

Recipe:

2 apples

Half beet root small sized

2 oranges along with fiber

A cup of fresh spinach leaves

3 tomatoes medium sized with seeds removed

A glass of boiled water

4-5 strawberries

Apples, oranges and tomatoes must be peeled off before using.  Blend all these in a blended and add a glass of water. Super Detox smoothie for youthful skin is ready.
